Playing outdoor sports activities will not only entertain your children but will also develop their minds and bodies. These are the new twists of the regular sports. Children can play as well as having exercises at the same time.

Fisher Price states that playing outdoors can make the children explore their environment and gain self-confidence. They also develop their muscles strength and coordination — increasing their gross motor skills and flexibility.

MSN Lifestyle suggests the following outdoor sports activities that your children can play. Certainly, they would have a great time.

1.       Zorbing

If your children like to roll or tumble on the ground, Zorbing is the best play for them. Your children can get inside this huge inflatable plastic ball and roll down the hill.

2.       Rock Climbing

Some children love to climb. Sometimes they would even climb on your windows or trees in your back yard. To prevent any untoward accident and to make them enjoy more of climbing, take them to places such as dedicated venues, playground and gyms that have climbing walls. Rock climbing can keep them fit and have good hand-eye coordination.

3.       Rollerblading

Rollerblading is also known as inline skating. You can take your children to a skate school where they can learn how to skate. This is the best way to keep their legs thrusting.  Let them ice-skate during winter too.

4.       Hacky Sack

Hacky Sack is the game way back in the 1980’s. This outdoor activity promotes balance, coordination and agility.  The children can kick the hacky sack back and forth and tell how long they can keep the hacky sack from touching the ground. They can play by themselves or play it with you or their friends.

5.       Juggling

One amusing and entertaining outdoor activity for children is juggling. The little jugglers can tamper with two or three rubber balls. They can play this with their friends as a group. Pass the balls back and forth to each player without dropping them.

6.       Swingball

Swingball is another game from the past yet enjoyable. It requires racquets to hit a rotating ball that is fastened to a central pole. You can play this with a group and organize a tournament like a Wimbledon style.

7.       Zumba

Zumba is a dance fitness that can make your children groove into the music at the same time exercising. They can learn the salsa, hip-hop and samba among others. Certainly, their calories will burn making them physically fit.
